- Here in Japan we have to walk to school.
- We have a special hat we have to wear to school and another hat for gym.
- Some schools have uniforms.
- Inside the building you have to wear rubber shoes that you never wear outside.
- Everyday about 6 children have to go and get the food for everyone else for lunch.
- We don't lockers, we have hanger to hang up our hats and cubbies for our backpacks.
- There are two different school buildings that you can walk between on a little bridge like thing.
- The school's playground is like a huge ropes course that the no one has to wear a harness on!
- Dollar stores have only new things that in the U.S.A would cost about 4 or 5 dollars.
- Japan is really clean!
- In Japan Elementary school is first through sixth grade.

Emily- why is there a sub for so long is Ms. K OK? My school here is all in Japanese, but some of the kids speak English. I miss my friends in Connecticut very very very VERY much. It is hard not being able to talk to people and have them understand me.
ReplyDeleteSofia- for lunch, they have one soup, occasionally a fruit or dessert, sometimes some kind of salad, sometimes rice or beans. Once we had hotdogs and once we had seaweed with our rice. Once we had fish that i didn't like (icky). We have to bring our own cloth napkin to put over our desks where we eat, a cloth to wipe our hands and our own chopsticks. We have had one field trip, but it wasn't very fun for me because my friends wouldn't let me go where I wanted to go!
Miss K hurt her back during the summer so she went to the doctor and her doctor said to get some rest.So she was out for two weeks and Tuesday shes coming back.We miss Miss K but we like our substitute as well. So we asked him if he can run recess duty so we can still see him and play with him.He said maybe(awesome)! Its really windy and really REALLY chilly here!!Whats it like in Japan is it the same or the opposite? We still miss you but we are still having fun.Caroline misses you too.Have lots of FUN and make new friends! Can you read eany of the Japaneze books.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
